Who Cares?

Every 15th august, there emerges an Indian in every Indian. But this happens only on every 15th august. Every other day is a selfish day. No one is bothered about anyone or anything. Controversies, corruption, tragedies, mishaps, scams, attacks, all these terms are not new to us Indians. And the most important thing is, we are used to it now and so we hardly even care. If anyone touches our skin it’s only then we think of all these things and blame our constitution and the people including the so-called government. How many of us can actually, proudly call ourselves patriotic? How many of us stand still with respect when we hear our national anthem playing? How many of us try to stop something wrong happening in front of our eyes and at least try to help out of humanity?

To change the whole country we need to start with ourselves. But no one is ready to take even the 1st step. They say changing one person will not change the corrupt country. In a way this is something we can’t deny. Whenever there seems to be a good person, who we feel is genuine enough to change the society, there either comes news saying he’s dead or he himself is caught in some scam or controversy (genuinely or otherwise no one cares). Hence there is an end of the chapter. In a democratic country there is value for people’s opinion but in a country like India, the only value is given to the one and only thing Money. We think there are oldies filled in the government and that is the reason we need some youth power. But frankly speaking the youth of this country is no different that the oldies.

There are so many causes whose advantage can be taken and diversity can be created. We say we have unity in diversity but it is nothing of that sort. There is only discrimination, increasing distance between rich and poor, Casteism and overflowing selfishness. The all new appeals which are made every day, the reasons for certain strikes and riots, facilities provided to the undeserving, can make anybody laugh. In this country importance is given not to the people who stay here but to the outsiders. No doubt companies like the East India Company ever got a chance to stay put in the country and ending up ruling the country.

Slapping the ministers is going to make no good. They are already shameless; things like these won’t make much difference. We give 51% share to the FDI whereas the farmers in our country are dying of starvation and suicide. We export the best quality food whereas we eat food which is equivalent to dog shit. We encourage foreign companies and on the other hand do not provide facilities to our own small scale or even large scale industries. There are more rules for setting a person free of a judicial charge than imprisoning and punishing him. The common man is baring price hikes and criminals like Kasab are enjoying Indian “Atithi Devo Bhava” slogan.

All of this is going on since a long time. Naming everything brings more shame for us in our own eyes. Making movies like Nayak, RDB, Lagaan, etc. is seldom going to make difference. We are not safe off each other, how are we going to fight against something external when we ourselves welcome them and ask them to take charge?

It won’t be long that another East India Company will emerge someday, rule us, loot us, and leave us to rot in the already rotting shit. Enough of thinking; it’s time we actually take some actions. Blaming has always been easy executing against the blame is something we should think about.

Cheers to you, cheers to lyf...!

    1. Prediction is a good thing but not before you are sure of it. I don't write things before experiencing them. Well the space wont be enough to tell you about what I did, but your mind would be a sufficient place to think about this and take steps accordingly rather than pointing out things.
      Have a good life..
