Help yourself..

Problems are one thing which anyone and everyone faces all their life long. Problems can be related to anything. Just anything! A 3 year old is hungry and his mom is not around to feed him that could be his problem. Every teenage girl has a heart-break problem, not literally though. A newly graduated fresher has a job problem; a working person can have an increment or a promotion problem. A 50 year old may have retirement problems. Name them and they are there.
You also need to understand that no problem is big or small. Every problem has its importance according to its situation, a person’s age or gender, etc. so you can’t just neglect any issue which anyone is facing.

Have you ever wondered why we seem to have problems?
When we sense things are falling apart, we try to gather as much, as quickly as possible. But we do that only when we sense they are falling apart. Why do you think we realise our errors or wrong doings at the end of everything? Can it really be justified coherently?

Frankly I would say, or rather I don’t even need to say this, we know there is no point sulking on things after they have passed and have, like, Gone With The Wind. We always say better late than never. But have we ever reconsidered if it really helps? We can work on things when we have them in our hand. But once they start slipping away, no one can do anything. A glass once broken can never be joined again because even though we stick the broken parts it always shows the faded broken lines. It can never be used as it was before.

We say past is past, but our past makes us think in our present and improve our future. But how much ever true this might be, there comes a point when we have to let things go and understand that we do have a life left after all. It’s upon us to decide which thing affects how much to us. We can’t just keep drowning in the memories and effect of the so called past.
If you need help sorting your problems with your past, you need to talk. Rather not just past, any problem that you face isn’t going to be solved unless you talk it out. And instead of talking here and there, just open up to the concerned person. If nothing you’ll be satisfied that you at least gave it a try. Even seeing a shrink is one of the options.

My first question to you is do you think seeing a shrink (a psychiatrist) means you are MAD? If yes, then you definitely need to enlighten yourself. A shrink isn’t someone who will take your clothes off and give you electric shocks nor will he/she take you to a corner and redden your bum by beating you up with a baseball bat or something like that. Or if you think your friends or family will start maintaining distance from you just because you are seeing a shrink then that is their problem and not yours.
A shrink can only help you help yourself by helping you find out what your problems are, so that you can take care of them and sort your so called messed up life!

Anyways, that’s not what we are looking at right now, so, talking about problems, you really need to take a chill pill, RELAX, take time off for your own self to ponder upon things a little, take help if necessary and take the needed decision ASAP. ASAP because life waits for none, so you do need to move on and look forward to much bigger troubles and be ready for them. Follow this and you’ll feel life was Never Better!

Cheers to you, cheers to lyf…!

  1. Psychiatry is a philosophy that uses methodologies of science to analyse, evaluate and find solutions to human problems.
So technically speaking one can include a case of a human being which is mentally unstable. But that is an extreme case, which does include shock therapy etc.
Mad- is a derogatory word. But then society loves to create weird standards around itself and then anything that remotely departs from the norm is labelled as something "Mad". Also "Shrink" is not a right word to use as well, colloquial, but not right. Psychiatrist is the word.
My general opinion is that a psychiatrist need not be a third person or a person at all.
many mental faculties have been soothed by talking with animals, (esp Dogs) roaming around in nature, engaging oneself in mentally challenging activity.

Nice blogpost by the way, looking forward for the next one.

    1. Dear xyz,
Thanks for helping me with show my point. Well, to tell you "Shrink" is an understandable, sober word for the kind of people this blog post was meant for. If someone is already scared or have unnecessary opinions about a Psychiatrist then i see no point scaring them more with it. Hence the word Shrink. Also this post was not about psychology to didn't go deep with the topic. I'll try my best to write about one.
Just wanted to present my point more clearly in case you didn't get the above composition.
      Anyways. Thanks again!
